A premiação foi dada a ela pela luta em defesa dos direitos das mulheres no Irã. A agência iraniana semioficial alega que "o Ocidente escolheu premiar a prisioneira Narges Mohammadi por suas ações contra o serviço de segurança nacional do Irã".</p>
<p class="texto">Narges está presa no Teerã por ser contrária a obrigatoriedade do uso de véu e por defender a abolição da pena de morte no país. Ela foi sentenciada a 31 anos de prisão e 154 chicotadas. </p>
<p class="texto">Após o anúncio da premiação da ativista, a Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) pediu ao Irã que Narges seja liberada da prisão. </p>
<p class="texto">"O caso de Narges Mohammadi é emblemático dos enormes riscos que as mulheres assumem para defender os direitos de todos os iranianos. Pediremos sua libertação e a de todos os defensores dos direitos humanos encarcerados no Irã", afirmou o Alto Comissariado da ONU para os Direitos Humanos, em um e-mail enviado à <em>Agence -Presse</em>.</p>

<p class="texto">Em 16 de setembro deste ano, <a href="/mundo/2023/10/5131500-narges-mohammadi-quem-e-a-vencedora-do-nobel-da-paz-que-esta-presa-pela-13-vez-no-ira.html" target="_self">Mohammadi</a> e outras três prisioneiras queimaram véus no pátio da prisão, por causa do aniversário da morte de Mahsa Amini, que morreu após ser espancada pela polícia por não usar o hijab (véu islâmico) de forma "apropriada".</p>
<p class="texto">"Neste regime autoritário, a voz das mulheres é proibida, o cabelo das mulheres é proibido. Não aceitarei o hijab obrigatório", afirmou Narges.</p>
<p class="texto">Segundo Comitê Norueguês do Nobel, Narges foi laureda pela luta contra a opressão das mulheres no Irã, e também por promover os direitos humanos e a liberdade para todos. A jornalista é vice-presidente do Centro de Defensores dos Direitos Humanos. </p>
<p class="texto">"O prêmio da paz deste ano também reconhece as centenas de milhares de pessoas que, no ano anterior, se manifestaram contra as políticas de discriminação e opressão do regime teocrático do Irã contra as mulheres. A agência de notícias iraniana Fars ironizou a concessão do Nobel da Paz à jornalista e ativista Narges Mohammadi , nesta sexta-feira (6/10). A premiação foi dada a ela pela luta em defesa dos direitos das mulheres no Irã. A agência iraniana semioficial alega que "o Ocidente escolheu premiar a prisioneira Narges Mohammadi por suas ações contra o serviço de segurança nacional do Irã".
Narges está presa no Teerã por ser contrária a obrigatoriedade do uso de véu e por defender a abolição da pena de morte no país. Ela foi sentenciada a 31 anos de prisão e 154 chicotadas.
Após o anúncio da premiação da ativista, a Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) pediu ao Irã que Narges seja liberada da prisão.
"O caso de Narges Mohammadi é emblemático dos enormes riscos que as mulheres assumem para defender os direitos de todos os iranianos. Pediremos sua libertação e a de todos os defensores dos direitos humanos encarcerados no Irã", afirmou o Alto Comissariado da ONU para os Direitos Humanos, em um e-mail enviado à Agence -Presse .
Segundo a família da ativista, a premiação de Narges é um momento histórico para a luta pela liberdade no país.
"Dedicamos este prêmio a todos os iranianos e, em especial, às mulheres e meninas iranianas que inspiraram o mundo todo com sua coragem e sua luta pela liberdade e pela igualdade. Infelizmente, Narges não pode estar conosco para compartilhar este momento extraordinário. Como Narges sempre diz: a vitória não é fácil, mas é certa", diz o comunicado escrito pelo marido de Narges, Taghi Rahmani.
Em 16 de setembro deste ano, Mohammadi e outras três prisioneiras queimaram véus no pátio da prisão, por causa do aniversário da morte de Mahsa Amini, que morreu após ser espancada pela polícia por não usar o hijab (véu islâmico) de forma "apropriada".
"Neste regime autoritário, a voz das mulheres é proibida, o cabelo das mulheres é proibido. Não aceitarei o hijab obrigatório", afirmou Narges.
Segundo Comitê Norueguês do Nobel, Narges foi laureda pela luta contra a opressão das mulheres no Irã, e também por promover os direitos humanos e a liberdade para todos. A jornalista é vice-presidente do Centro de Defensores dos Direitos Humanos.
"O prêmio da paz deste ano também reconhece as centenas de milhares de pessoas que, no ano anterior, se manifestaram contra as políticas de discriminação e opressão do regime teocrático do Irã contra as mulheres. O lema adotado pelos manifestantes – 'Mulher – Vida – Liberdade' – expressa adequadamente a dedicação e o trabalho de Narges Mohammadi", ressaltou o Comitê do Nobel.
