O mandato de Aras termina na próxima semana. Em discurso no plenário, ele afirmou que sua gestão sofreu com "incompreensões".</p>
<p class="texto">Aras afirmou ter sido alvo de "algumas incompreensões e falsas narrativas, dissonantes com o trabalho realizado". O discurso dele ocorreu durante o <a href="/politica/2023/09/5127379-stf-tem-7-votos-a-2-contra-marco-temporal-restam-2-para-fim-de-julgamento.html">julgamento, no Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), do marco temporal</a> das terras indígenas.</p>
<p class="texto">"Dizem que as pessoas ficam e as instituições am. Mas as instituições se fazem de pessoas que por elas am. O Ministério Público há sempre de contribuir para o aprimoramento do nosso contínuo processo civilizatório e fortalecimento do nosso Estado Democrático de Direito", disse o PGR.</p>

Uma das investigações que o procurador-geral foi acusado de ofuscar se refere a eventual omissão de Bolsonaro na gestão da pandemia e ações que tentaram desmobilizar o isolamento social e outras medidas sanitárias durante a circulação do vírus.</p>
<p class="texto">"Os desafios dos últimos 4 anos foram adicionalmente cercados por algumas interpretações e falsas narrativas... Ao MP, tal como ao Judiciário, a Constituição veda expressamente a política partidária. Nossa missão não é caminhar pela direita ou pela esquerda, mas, sim, garantir dentro da ordem jurídica que se realize Justiça, liberdade, igualdade e dignidade da pessoa humana", completou o PGR.</p>

Aras afirmou ter sido alvo de "algumas incompreensões e falsas narrativas, dissonantes com o trabalho realizado". O discurso dele ocorreu durante o julgamento, no Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), do marco temporal das terras indígenas.
"Dizem que as pessoas ficam e as instituições am. Mas as instituições se fazem de pessoas que por elas am. O Ministério Público há sempre de contribuir para o aprimoramento do nosso contínuo processo civilizatório e fortalecimento do nosso Estado Democrático de Direito", disse o PGR.
Indicado por Jair Bolsonaro e reconduzido ao cargo pelo ex-presidente, Aras foi alvo de críticas , acusado de engavetar representações contra o ex-capitão do Exército. Uma das investigações que o procurador-geral foi acusado de ofuscar se refere a eventual omissão de Bolsonaro na gestão da pandemia e ações que tentaram desmobilizar o isolamento social e outras medidas sanitárias durante a circulação do vírus.
"Os desafios dos últimos 4 anos foram adicionalmente cercados por algumas interpretações e falsas narrativas... Ao MP, tal como ao Judiciário, a Constituição veda expressamente a política partidária. Nossa missão não é caminhar pela direita ou pela esquerda, mas, sim, garantir dentro da ordem jurídica que se realize Justiça, liberdade, igualdade e dignidade da pessoa humana", completou o PGR.
Com o fim da gestão dele, cabe ao presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva indicar um novo nome. Mas caso prefira, pode reconduzir Aras para um terceiro mandato.
